Climbing Through The Peaks And Valleys Of Life
Photo Credit: Alex E. Proimos It seems as though humanity as a whole is desperately striving to end suffering, depression, anxiety or any other form of discomfort. We do this because we have learned since birth to resist pain in all its forms. Many of us likely spend more time resisting what we don’t care for than enjoying what we do. Our utter resistance to discomfort and pain is so ingrained into our subconscious that we do so automatically. What I have come to find in my own life however is that what you resist truly does persist. We can not have happiness without sadness. We can not have pleasure without pain. Through our resistance we produce more pain. Our thoughts, feelings and state of being rises and falls just like peaks and valleys in a vast...
Read MoreAre You Floating On The Surface Of Your Mind?
Photo Credit:TKrueger I know I frequently resort to explaining things in a very deep way. I’m sure many people have glanced over an article here and said hey, this is too long or too deep to read through. I want simple straightforward suggestions on how to solve my problems! I could just as well change my writing style to shorter more superficial articles that would please a greater audience. It would probably increase my traffic, my income and my general audience. However, it would all be a tremendous waste of time. I would be wasting both your time and mine. It would be as if we were both sitting in a life boat on the ocean discussing what the ocean floor looks like when neither of us had seen it. Of course if we wanted to observe the hypnotic nature of...

In this article I’m going to explore several components of what it means to be in the present moment and why constant focus on the past and future are keeping you from mental freedom. Who Are You? Have you...

Photo Credit:mackenzie and john Anger is certainly one of the most misunderstood human emotions. It consumes us when it strikes and often evokes a fight or flight response. We are taught from an early age that getting angry and acting out is highly unacceptable. Murder, the ultimate act of anger, manifested into it’s physical form is considered the most heinous crime. Despite the stiff consequences of such acts, murders are committed daily across the world. It would certainly seem as if people are highly confused about how to cope with anger. When I think back to my days in school, there was really no education about coping with anger. Sure, a teacher would try to force two people to say sorry or make up after an outburst, but I always got the sense...

Read MoreResistance To Change – The Silent Killer Of Success
Photo Credit:Blyzz Why do so many people have such a strong resistance to change and why is accepting change so difficult? I think a lot of people tend to meet change with such resistance that they don’t even know why they’re resisting. More often than not, it is the change we did not desire that finds us the most. When we try to force ourselves to change, it is usually the most difficult. The reasons behind these phenomenons are complex but often seem to stem from irrational fears we have produced over a lifetime. Approaching significant change in your life is venturing into the unknown. It requires that the individual have faith in themselves and their abilities. Your life and the universe around you is constantly changing and adapting to new...
